Photo Contest

  • Utah State University Extension is sponsoring a photo contest for photos that showcase each county in Utah. Winning photographs will appear in the upcoming USU Extension Annual Review and a statewide Extension calendar, plus the winner in each county will  receive a digital photo frame. Youth, amateurs, hobbyists and professionals are encouraged to participate.  The deadline is October 1, 2008.

Utah State Fair

  • Held September 4-14, 2008 at the State Fairgrounds
  • 4-H Day at the State Fair will be held on Saturday, September 13.

4-H National Science Day

  • The first annual 4-H National Youth Science Day will be held October 8, 2008.  4-H National Youth Science Day will be a national media event designed to highlight the significant role that 4-H, CES and the Land-Grant universities are playing in science education. The event, led by the National  4-H SET Task Force will feature a simple, fun and media-ready science experiment that can be performed all across the country by 4-H members, educators and the general public. The experiment will have an environmental, “green” theme and will be easy to perform in any venue.
